Specifications

Controls and Operation

Main controls: Drive control bar, Personal Pace speed control, cutting height lever, recoil starter, fuel cap, oil dipstick.

Starting: 1. Push primer bulb 3 times (cold engine). 2. Set throttle to FAST position. 3. Pull recoil starter firmly. Stopping: Release drive control bar, move throttle to STOP.

Personal Pace: Squeeze drive control bar to engage self-propel; walking speed controls mower speed. Release to stop drive.

Safety Features: Blade control lever must be held to keep blade spinning; releases automatically if handle is released.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Adjust all four wheels simultaneously using single lever.

  1. Stop mower and engine.
  2. Locate cutting height lever near each wheel.
  3. Pull lever outward, move to desired height setting (1.5 to 4 inches).
  4. Release lever to lock in position.
  5. Verify all wheels are at same height.

Tip: For healthy grass, never cut more than 1/3 of grass height at one time.

Mulching, Bagging & Side Discharge

Configure for desired cutting mode.

  1. Mulching: Install mulch plug in rear discharge opening. Grass clippings are cut finely and returned to lawn.
  2. Bagging: Remove mulch plug, attach rear bagger. Clippings collected in bag for disposal.
  3. Side Discharge: Remove mulch plug and bagger, attach side discharge chute. Clippings ejected to side.

WARNING! Always stop engine before changing cutting mode. Ensure attachments are securely installed.
