Self-Propelled Lawn Mower

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Socket set
  • Safety gloves

Step-by-Step Assembly

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all packaging materials and inspect parts for any shipping damage.
  2. Handle Assembly: Attach the upper and lower handle sections using provided bolts and hardware.
  3. Install Height Adjuster: Attach the cutting height adjustment lever to the deck.
  4. Attach Grass Bag: Install the grass collection bag or mulch plug according to your preference.
  5. Install Safety Key: Insert the safety key into the designated slot on the control panel.
  6. Add Engine Oil: Fill the engine with the recommended SAE 30 oil to the proper level.
  7. Add Fuel: Fill the fuel tank with fresh unleaded gasoline (minimum 87 octane).
  8. Initial Test: Start the engine and test all controls before first use.
Warning: Always wear appropriate safety equipment including eye protection, hearing protection, and sturdy footwear when operating the mower.

Troubleshooting

Maintenance Schedule

  • Before each use: Check oil level, tire pressure, blade condition
  • Every 25 hours: Clean/replace air filter, check spark plug
  • Every 50 hours: Change engine oil, sharpen blade
  • Every 100 hours: Replace spark plug, clean fuel system
  • Season end: Drain fuel, clean entire mower, store properly
  • Season start: Change oil, check all systems, add fresh fuel
