Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Socket wrench set
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Torque wrench
  • Pliers
  • Safety gloves and goggles

Step-by-Step Parts Installation

  1. Safety First: Disconnect spark plug wire and ensure mower is on a flat, stable surface before beginning any work.
  2. Blade Replacement: Secure blade with block of wood, remove mounting bolt, replace with new Toro-approved blade.
  3. Air Filter Installation: Remove old filter, clean housing, install new filter ensuring proper seal alignment.
  4. Spark Plug Replacement: Remove old plug, check gap on new plug (0.030"), install and torque to 18-22 ft-lbs.
  5. Drive Belt Replacement: Release tensioner, remove old belt, route new belt following diagram in manual.
  6. Wheel Assembly: Replace worn wheels by removing axle nut, installing new wheel with proper washers.
  7. Test Operation: Reconnect spark plug, start mower and test all functions before regular use.
