Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Socket set
  • Safety gloves

Step-by-Step Assembly

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Remove all packaging materials and verify all parts are included according to the parts list.
  2. Handle Assembly: Attach the upper and lower handle sections using provided bolts and hardware.
  3. Install Height Adjustment Lever: Connect the cutting height adjustment lever to the deck according to instructions.
  4. Attach Bag or Mulching Plug: Install the grass collection bag or mulching plug based on your preference.
  5. Connect Drive Cable: Route and connect the drive control cable to the transmission.
  6. Install Battery (if electric start): For models with electric start, install the battery following polarity markings.
  7. Add Oil and Fuel: Fill engine with recommended oil and add fresh gasoline to the fuel tank.
  8. Final Check: Ensure all bolts are tightened, controls operate smoothly, and safety features function properly.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Engine won't start Empty fuel tank, stale gasoline, spark plug issue Add fresh fuel, check spark plug, ensure choke is properly set

Maintenance Schedule

  • Before each use: Check oil level, inspect blade, clear deck of debris
  • Every 25 hours: Sharpen blade, check air filter, inspect spark plug
  • Every 50 hours: Change oil, clean underside thoroughly
  • Every 100 hours: Replace air filter, check drive system
  • Season end: Add fuel stabilizer, clean entire mower, store properly
  • Season start: Change oil, check all systems, test operation
