Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Engine won't start Empty fuel tank, old gasoline, safety key not inserted Add fresh fuel, insert safety key, check spark plug
Engine starts then dies Clogged fuel line, dirty air filter, choke position Clean fuel system, replace air filter, adjust choke
Poor cutting performance Dull blade, incorrect cutting height, wet grass Sharpen or replace blade, adjust height, wait for dry conditions
Excessive vibration Unbalanced blade, loose components, bent crankshaft Balance or replace blade, tighten all bolts, inspect crankshaft
Uneven cutting Uneven tire pressure, worn blade, uneven deck Check tire pressure, sharpen blade, level mower deck
Loss of power Dirty air filter, old fuel, carbon buildup Clean/replace air filter, use fresh fuel, clean combustion chamber

Maintenance Schedule

  • Before Each Use: Check oil level, inspect blade, clear debris
  • Every 25 Hours: Clean air filter, check spark plug
  • Every 50 Hours: Sharpen blade, check tire pressure
  • Every 100 Hours: Replace air filter, change oil (if required)
  • Season End: Fuel stabilization, thorough cleaning, proper storage
